A BRIGHTER TOMORROW

Today the sun came out!

But again, the rain will come and I’ll pout!

Then, memories of a sunny tomorrow,

Will shine on my morrow!

As the wind blows,

All the leaves go!

People wake up and ready for another day!

Regardless of problems ensued it never goes away!

Times like yesterday, glad not to be a runaway!

The gift of rain is complex

It can make us feel insane

We never know what comes next

So our feelings should be refrained.

As every little raindrop falls

So do the gardens grow,

It helps the wind stop blowing

And, helps the farmers keep mowing.

When raindrops fall on windowpanes

While we are lying in our rooms,

It helps to soothe the body pain

That sometimes fills us with gloom.

But, when the rainbow forms,

It is the sign of the end of the storm

As it colors the sky

For you and I.

A Familiar Mood

By Ms. Betty “Boop” Holt

Some days aren’t worth getting out of bed

Never mind two times, I’ve been wed

Losing doesn’t help, I don’t live right

Maybe my star wasn’t that bright

I must change and start again

LIFE is really a bargain

So the car overheated and the cake didn’t rise

Every moment of the day can be a surprise!
